Hi, I'm Patrick.

I'm a bi-racial (Irish and Black Caribbean, with Trinidadian heritage), gay man living between worlds — literally and figuratively. I grew up surrounded by stories that rarely featured people who looked like me, loved like me, or came from where I came from.

So I started writing my own.

I'm an aspiring author with a manuscript currently on submission. I write the kind of fantasy, sci-fi, and horror that I always wanted to read — stories where the marginalised aren't side characters, where queerness isn't a plot device, and where the monsters aren't always the obvious ones.

Before I found my way to writing, I trained as a professional actor at the University of Central Lancashire. That training taught me something invaluable: how to inhabit a character, how to feel the rhythm of a story, and how to understand what makes an audience lean in.

I bring all of that to my reading. When I pick up your manuscript, I don't just scan for typos. I live inside your world. I feel your characters. And then I tell you — honestly, warmly — what's working and what could be stronger.
